In what promises to be one of he main Oscar contenders and featuring a memorable central performance from a rejuvenated Michael Keaton, Alejandro Inarritu's Birdman has released another featurette in anticipation of its January 2015 release in UK cinemas.
Levels upon Levels supplies us with more insight into the character of Riggan Thompson (Keaton), an actor famous for portraying a superhero who is struggling with adapting and starring in a Broadway play.
Inarritu, in the featurette, mentions how he wanted the audience to experience all the action through the eyes of Riggan, hence the point of view cinematography and how the audience will get shocks as Riggan experiences them.
Keaton explains how the film goes from dark to funny and back and forth throughout the piece.
